About Zonta – It All Started in 1919…
Zonta International is a global organization of executives and professionals working together to advance the status of women worldwide through service and advocacy.
We are more than 25,600 members strong, 1,070 Zonta Clubs in 65 countries and geographic areas. Zontians world-wide volunteer their time, talents and support to local and international service projects, and scholarship programs aimed at fulfilling Zonta’s mission and vision.
Vision
Zonta International envisions a world in which women’s rights are recognized as human rights and every woman is able to achieve her full potential.
In such a world, women have access to all resources and are in decision making positions on an equal basis with men.
In such a world, no woman lives in fear of violence.
Goals
Zonta International is needed now more than ever. Our vision for gender equality is not yet a reality. Around the world, women and girls are facing increased challenges as a result of COVID-19, climate change and threats to their human rights.
To respond to these challenges, we need a strong, committed community of individuals working together at the local and global levels to fight for gender equity. Together, we will build a better world for women and girls aspiring to these Biennial Goals.

Almost 650 million women alive today were married before turning 18.
We say NO to Violence Against Women and Girls
About 2 in 3 women have experienced physical and/or sexual violence from an intimate partner.
We will Close the Gender Gap in education
Every additional year of primary school increases girls' eventual wages by 10 - 20 percent.
